
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu Makes Digital Expansion Announcement
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu announced that Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) services will be integrated into WhatsApp governance in the near future. He said that plans are in the works to coordinate with the central government to facilitate booking train tickets via WhatsApp. He even proposed that the service be taken to booking tickets for movies as well.
The Chief Minister reiterated that GPS tracking of RTC buses should also be provided through WhatsApp. To include everyone, he said that a voice service facility will be initiated for those who may find it difficult to text. He repeated the objective of making all government services accessible through WhatsApp, thus minimizing the requirement of physical visits to government offices.
The announcement was made in a review meeting with ministers and secretaries at the Secretariat on Tuesday. Officials noted that WhatsApp services have already been rolled out at Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Devasthanam at Vijayawada and the Mallanna temple at Srisailam.
Digital Ration Card Prints to Acquire Validity
Minister Lokesh also spoke of the growing need for temple-based services, explaining that there had been requests for including Tithide services on WhatsApp as well. He stated that the government is considering providing digital prints of ration cards with the status of original documents in the near future.
