Prime Minister joins the world's largest spiritual congregation

Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the Maha Kumbh Mela, the world's largest spiritual congregation. He reached Prayagraj where the congregation is underway and took a holy dip at Triveni Sangam. After performing the ritual, he offered prayers to the Ganges.

Modi reaches Maha Kumbh Mela

The Prime Minister reached Prayagraj airport and then proceeded to Arail Ghat, from where he boarded a boat to the main venue of the Maha Kumbh Mela. He then took a holy dip at Triveni Sangam, which is the sacred confluence of Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers.

Before the ritual bath, PM Modi met thousands of devotees who gathered at the venue. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was with him during the visit.

Thousands Attend the Grand Religious Festival

The Maha Kumbh Mela started on January 13 and will go on till February 26. Millions of devotees from India and other parts of the world have flocked to the festival.

So far, many political leaders, celebrities, and business personalities have participated in the holy event. Today, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju also took a holy dip and requested the people not to discuss any political debates on this sacred occasion. He guided the attendees to abide by guidelines to make the event safe and seamless.
